Kris has held most of her professional finance experience within the non-profit sector. Her non-profit journey began with her role as Staff Accountant with a leadership development association, where she quickly realized that creating and managing budgets, with various significant revenue streams, was the path she was destined to take. Her next role, as a Non-Profit Consultant, presented numerous opportunities in finance, as well as creating many long-term professional relationships and networks that still play a profound role in much of the work she does.
Most recently, she spent 5 years working within the Planned Giving and Financial Reporting departments of a liberal arts college in Southern MN.
Kris has also enjoyed many years in contributing to successful year-end audit, compliance reviews, and monthly financial planning. She takes great pride as a being an advocate and a leader in process improvement efforts to help drive efficient and accurate outcomes.
Kris has a deep belief in holding roles with meaningful work, resulting in assisting organizations with special projects such as Capital Campaign planning, statistical donor research, prospecting, and grant writing, which led to becoming a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) in 2014.
Joining Lighthouse Strategic Solutions is a natural transition, allowing Kris to share her experiences, continue learning about the area of finance within spiritual organizations, and support those who are involved in the processes necessary for success.
